As Chief Executive Officer Ryan Brown brings almost 20 years of entrepreneurial cannabis experience to the leadership of NORTHBUD. Ryan has been involved with multiple startups beginning with the cultivation equipment and fertilizer industry in the early 2000s where he helped build a large multinational distribution company from the ground up. In 2016 he co-founded Tetra Bio-Pharma, a multi-subsidiary publicly traded company (TSXV:TBP, OTCQB:TBPMF). Upon exiting Tetra Bio-Pharma, Ryan launched Northbud Capital, a holding company focused on investment into the ancillary American cannabis industry and a founding investor in NORTHBUD. This experience provides a firsthand perspective on the trends and regulation of a variety of target market segments. He is also currently a board member for Acres SVG, a licensed cannabis cultivator located in St-Vincent and the Grenadines. His diverse industry background and demonstrated knowledge has swiftly gained him a reputation as a leading expert in the field and a force within the industry.
As Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Stoss brings more than 17 years of finance experience with proficiency in high-growth environments, acquisitions, financial governance, and corporate expansion and transformation projects. Jeffrey is the co-founder of the outsourced finance services firm Positive Venture Group, and has previously worked with several publicly-traded companies and technology start-ups, including Orezone Gold, NUVO Network, Cognos, IBM, and Conversant Intellectual Property Management (formerly MOSAID). At IBM, Jeffrey successfully designed and implemented a financial shared services center for the business analytics division of IBM Software Group, which supported 4 regional hubs and 16 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. At Conversant Intellectual Property Management, Jeffrey oversaw the organization’s corporate financial transformation and chaperoned critical aspects of its expansion following a $560 million take-private transaction. Jeffrey holds accounting designations in both Canada (CPA, CA) and the United States (CPA – Illinois).

As Chief Corporate Officer Pete Souchen brings a dynamic blend of cannabis industry experience and corporate development expertise to the management team. In 2017, Pete co-founded Northbud Capital, a private equity firm focused on ancillary cannabis companies in the United States that is also the founding investor in North Bud Farms Inc. As COO of Northbud Capital, Pete has participated in a multitude of financings, public offerings, and M&A transactions across various industry segments and verticals. Prior to joining the cannabis trade Pete earned a decade of finance and business development experience, building and selling a financial planning business as a Certified Financial Planner. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce while majoring in Finance at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management and has since completed various financial courses and certifications.
President, Northbud USA
As President of Northbud USA Justin Braune brings a wealth of industry knowledge and contacts to the company's leadership. Justin served as a President at Made By Science, a startup science and technology company with multiple patents focused around unique cannabinoid delivery methods, from pre-revenue to full acquisition by Acreage Holdings for USD$160M. Prior to Made By Science, Justin served as President of MJIC (now ManifestSeven) where he focused on cannabis industry acquisitions, as well as operations of which the most successful is rollingpaperdepot.com. Justin also served as CEO for two publicly traded cannabis companies on the OTC market, Vape Holdings (OTCQB: VAPE) and Agritek Holdings (OTCQB: AGTK). He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy having earned a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering. While serving as a Lieutenant in the US Navy he operated nuclear reactors onboard the USS RONALD REAGAN until the completion of his military commitment. Justin also has an MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
